The Victoria Park Belmont Baseball Club Management Committee is composed of 6 official Office Bearers and 10 General Committee members. Meet the Team
Vice President Seniors
A Life Member of both Junior and Senior clubs, Wayne has been involvedwith the club for over 40 years. During this time he has played in all senior grades from State League to C grade as well as having coached at both junior and senior levels. Wayne spent 6 years on the Junior Committee as President and Vice President before joining the senior committee as Vice President Juniors and has been Treasurer for the past 10 years.
A former Forrestfield Tee-baller and junior of the club, Rob has played for VPBBC throughout his entire career as well as representing Western Australia, Perth Heat, Australia and the University of Florida. Rob still plays, coaches, works on the committee and now he is leading the club for the fifth consecutive year.
Having been a Cloverdale Comets Tee-ball & Softball Club and VPBBC Baseball "mum," as well as Assistant District Administrator for the Swan Hills Charter, Shelley takes over from Garry Dixey as Club Secretary.
Shelley is playing an integral role in raising the social profile of the club.
Vice President Juniors
A Life Member of both the junior and senior clubs, John has been a playing member of the club for nearly 40 years. During that time he has played in a number of grades, most notably as State League catcher for many years, as well as coaching at both junior and senior level and has held down various committee positions. This year he takes over as Vice President Juniors
A former President, coach and umpire at Cloverdale Comets Tee-ball Club, Liv is the VPBBC Junior Registrar and over the past couple of seasons has played in our Women's, C Grade and Masters teams. A former SHA Charter secretary, Liv is LLWA Tournament Director, plays & administrates softball as well as working for Perth Heat ticketing and helping organise social events.
Stephen Meloncelli Coaching Coordinator
A former junior of the club, Stephen has represented the state in junior baseball and was selected in the inaugural Perth Heat squad. As well as assuming the coaching coordinator role, Stephen is an assistant coach in the State League squad and now son Zak is playing State League is a part of five generations playing for VPBBC.
Heritage Committee & Website
A former junior of the club, Michael has represented Western Australia, Perth Heat and Australia, is a life member and holds the club record with 522 State League games played. Michael still plays, coaches has been a committee member for more than 20 years, most recently as VPBBC JVP for the past four years.
Frankie has been coaching juniors and seniors at VPBBC for the last 8 years, as well as State Women's baseball (winning championships in 2012 and 2012) and has been heavily involved with coaching SEAYBST teams, winning titles in the U/15 & U/19 age groups.
Colin started playing for VPBBC as an 11 year old and played in the juniors from 1972-78 before playing seniors from 1979-89. after a break to have a family, Colin returned as a junior coach in the early 2000's as his son Jack progressed through the grades and now his Grandson plays Little League, making it 4 generations of Smalpage to play for VPBBC
A former junior of the club, Paul started playing at age 10 and is the son of one of the Club's all time greats, Bob Meloncelli. Paul has played most grades, coached and held various positions on the committee. He also sponsors the Club through Advance Press.
Robyn has been involved with Tee-ball and baseball for many years and her son started his first year of baseball at VPBBC in 2020. She has been Executive Officer for both the Little League Charter team in 2021 and the Intermediate League team in 2022 as well as Team Manager for the 2022 Club Championship team.
Equipment Manager & Social Media
Beginning his career at Forrestfield Flyers Tee-ball club, Josh has gone on to represent W.A. in the Perth Heat U/23's, WA School boys team, Australian Goodwill team in Beijing as well as SEAYBST teams. Josh plays at the highest levels within the club, helps organise social events and social media and is in his third season as a committee member.
A past president of the Forrestfield Tee-ball, baseball & Softball Club, Garry has been involved with the VPBBC for the past 30 years as a player, coach and committee member. A Life Member and previously club secretary, he is the coach of the E Grade team.
Troy's son Noah is playing juniors at the club and Troy has put his hand up to help out on the committee. Although never having played himself before Troy will take to field this year for the first time.
