Have a Go Day - August 16 2026
Have a Go Day provides an exciting opportunity to welcome new players and their families to Victoria park Belmont Baseball Club. It is our first chance to introduce prospective members to the Club's culture, values and community in a relaxed, friendly and inclusive environment.
Key Objectives for the day include:

Welcoming new families and introducing the Junior Liaison Officer as a friendly and approachable point of contact for any questions throughout the season.

Building relationships with parents and prospective players through informal conversations and by answering any questions they may have.

Showcasing the Club's culture and values whilst introducing families to the opportunities available within our junior program.

Explaining the junior development pathway, player opportunities and the basics of baseball for those new to the sport.

Providing a Junior Family Welcome Pack, including key contacts, important dates and helpful information about the upcoming season.

Encouraging families to stay connected by inviting them to join our communications network through QR code or 'Stay Connected' registration form.
The day is about creating a positive first impression, making families feel welcomed and supported and demonstrating the inclusive community that makes Victoria park Belmont Baseball Club a great place to play baseball.

Pre-Season Training & Welcome Meeting- August 23 2026
The first pre-season training session provides an opportunity to welcome players and families to the upcoming season. While players participate in training, a short parent information session will be held to introduce the Junior Support Team, outline the season ahead and answer any questions.
The Welcome Meeting will include:

An introduction to the Junior Support Team, including the Junior Vice President, the Junior Liaison Officer and the Junior Development Officer, along with an overview of their roles and how they can support players and families throughout the season.

An introduction to the Head Coach, including an overview of the Junior to Senior Pathway and the process for players interested in progressing to senior baseball.

An overview of the 2026/27 junior season, including key dates, training schedules, Club expectations and communication channels.

Information on volunteering opportunities and how families can become involved in supporting the Club throughout the season.

An opportunity for parents and guardians to ask questions and meet the Junior Support Team in an informal and welcoming environment.
